The Book of Lucifer.

"Angel Lucifer" is a complex figure rooted in theological and literary traditions, often portrayed as the ultimate personification of pride, rebellion, and ambition. Originally a high-ranking angel in Judeo-Christian lore, Lucifer's narrative centers around his fall from grace due to a desire for power equaling or surpassing that of God. This act of defiance led to his expulsion from Heaven, transforming him into an archetype of evil. The name "Lucifer," meaning "light-bringer" or "morning star," further emphasizes the irony of his transition from divine favor to infamy. Lucifer sometimes symbolizes enlightenment against oppression, illustrating the nuanced interplay between light and dark in human consciousness and morality.

Although Lucifer is present in some form in many religions and therefore may be compared to some mythological gods, he is probably best known in Christianity.

The Bible portrays Lucifer's fall from grace as a consequence of his pride and defiance against God's authority. This defiance was that Lucifer wished to advance humanity, but God did not.

Lucifer was identified with the devil in Christianity and Christian popular literature, as in Dante Alighieri's Inferno, Joost van den Vondel's Lucifer, and John Milton's Paradise Lost. Early medieval Christianity fairly distinguished between Lucifer and Satan. While Lucifer, as the devil, is fixated in hell, Satan presumably executes the desires of Lucifer as his vassal!

The first question is, does this indicate that the Devil and Satan are different entities? But let us not go up that avenue, as we are only concerned with Lucifer. According to Enoch, the leader of this fall was the Angel Samyaza, whose angels became filled with lust over human women and took them for wives, who bore them gigantic Nephilim who set out to consume and destroy everything in sight. The angels also instructed mankind in forbidden arts such as astrology, metalworking, magick, and the manufacture and use of cosmetics!

If you are a student of the occult, what you have previously read about Lucifer may disturb you!  Are you concerned about practising Luciferian magick? Especially if you are still clinging to the Lucifer/Devil concept!

however, traditional Luciferianism focuses on Lucifer and the characteristics of knowledge, light, and self-improvement. Lucifer is seen as the light bearer, the bringer of knowledge and truth. An archangel composed of both fire (light) and air (wisdom). He represents the Earth and the earthly properties of Sunlight, Air, Earth, Wind, and Fire.
